Dr. John A. Wade

Dr. John A. Wade provides Ear, Nose and Throat and Allergy services.

Dr. Wade is board certified in Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Surgery and is a fellow in Otolaryngic Allergy from the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He earned his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from West Virginia University and then completed a two year General Surgery residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, WV. He followed that experience with a three year Ear, Nose and Throat/Head and Neck Surgery residency at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, which included a three month residency at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC.

Dr. Wade is a member of the West Virginia State Medical Association, where he has been awarded their President's Citation. He was an Oral Fellowship examiner for the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy for ten years and has served as a member of the West Virginia Medical Assurance Insurance Company Advisory Board for over ten years. Dr. Wade served on the West Virginia Board of Medicine for ten years and served as their President from 2006 to 2010. He also has been Vice President of the West Virginia Board of Medicine and Chairman of the West Virginia Board of Medicine Licensure Committee.


Dr. Cynthia Welch

Dr. Cynthia Welch provides Hearing Care services.

Dr. Welch completed her undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Dallas where she earned a double degree: a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She earned her Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. As a student at Ohio University, she received the Outstanding Clinician in Audiology award. She completed her clinical externship for her Doctorate at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Welch has received two ACE awards for continuing education from ASHA.

Dr. Welch's special interests include vestibular assessment (dizziness testing) and advancements in hearing aid technology. She takes great pride in being well educated in the latest hearing aid technology available and offers hearing aids from five major manufacturers (Siemens, Unitron, Oticon, Phonak and Starkey). Dr. Welch contributes to the growth of and education of students in her field by providing clinical supervision for aspiring audiology students.


PA Alison Poole

Alison Poole, Physician Assistant

Alison Poole is from Ripley, WV and attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences in 2002 and a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2004.

She is very active in her community and church. She is also an avid sports enthusiast coaching girls soccer and softball and enjoys the outdoors; ultimate Frisbee, soccer, basketball, skiing, and softball.
